Water Mitigation Model

Due to the site's steep topography and heavy rainfall, water management was a primary design driver. This model simulates rain flow and runoff patterns to validate our proposed drainage solutions. Specifically, it highlights the French drain system designed to intercept and redirect water away from the building.

The basin was build out of laser cut acrylic and waterproofed using epoxy and sealant. The topography, building, and path were 3D printed. A small pump and a plastic tube was used to circulate the water.
